But what do you do?

This is a question I’ve been asking myself a lot recently, as it’s become clear to me that perhaps I am confusing people as to what I am all about

The Hive Mind Company was always going to be multi-faceted, just like me. So, in this blog, I wanted to explain that in a bit more detail!

Are you ready? Here we go…

Mental Health

My sole point in starting this business was to support others with their mental health.

As you’ve probably read, I’ve been on my own mental health journey for over 30 years. It’s something that I am super passionate about and also something that I intend never to stop talking about!

Part of what I do is Invisible Wall, which is a peer support group for Borussia Dortmund fans over on X/Twitter. If you’re following the Bundesliga, then you’ll know we need it right now!

But the other part of this is that I know how many other business owners also have problems. Our mental health is broad, and it can hit some people harder than others. But if we’re business owners, then that can be especially hard, particularly if we’re the sole decision maker in that business.

Covid changed my plans a lot, so I moved more into coaching to support others, but more on that later.

Marketing

The next biggest part of my life is marketing. I am a marketing manager for a tech company and am currently studying for my Marketing Mini MBA.

Lots of business owners get stressed about marketing themselves. It can feel hard, alien even, if you’re not used to shouting about what you do. So, this has formed a part of what I do too!

I know how hard it feels to leave a corporate role and then have to shout out loud about how wonderful you are. It’s not easy, is it?

Couple that with not having the luxury of a marketing department, you can feel really overwhelmed quickly. Plus, you often have people helpfully telling you how to run your business, with no consideration as to whether that actually works for you as a person! It all mounts up.

Coaching

This was the penultimate piece of the puzzle for me. I qualified as an ICF accredited coach back in 2021, and it started me thinking about how to blend all my skills to support others. After that, I decided to study neuroscience because that helps with marketing and mindset.

We could all use some of that, right?

As a result of this, the Feisty 90 was born. This is my signature mix of marketing, mental health, neuroscience and coaching distilled down into one 90 minute session. In these sessions, I aim to get to the bottom of what is holding you back. What stops you from being you? Who actually are you?

Inclusion

The final piece was inclusion.

I’ve always been passionate about being the voice of the unseen or the unheard. I’ve felt that too often to ignore the desire to support people who are the square pegs in round holes for whatever reason.

But what do you actually do?

Well, that is up to you. As a coach, I am guided by you.

If you come to me for a session and you want to have more of a marketing focus, then that is what we’ll do. If you want to dig deeper into your why, we can do that. If you want more of a mentoring relationship, then that is OK too!

The whole point of coaching is that it’s client led. You get to choose your path.

How can you work with me?

I guess this is the final thing I need to answer, and perhaps the most important. If you want to work together, then I suggest that we have a call to see how we get on. Nothing is worse than getting into a coaching relationship and being unable to work together. That really does go both ways!

Then, your choices are to do a one-off session or book a block of sessions.

I am working on a group coaching program at the moment, which will be for five people over five weeks. Group coaching is massively powerful, and I love it!

Oh, and if you want someone to come and talk to a networking group or a podcast guest, give me a shout!

You all know how much I love a good chat!!

If you want to work with me, please get in touch and we can start our conversation
